Berrow could’ve been 2-0 up early on but for the heroics of the away GK. Berrow did eventually take the lead, Jake Frost’s shot was again superbly saved and Henrique Pereira tapped into the empty net. It was 2-0 soon after, and it was the man Henrique Pereira again who slotted home after being put through on goal. After half time, Berrow can flying out the blocks, Jake Frost made it 3 superbly lobbing the GK after a short back pass from the defender. Lyle Ballad then made it 4-0, superb run cutting in from the left and smashing the ball through the GK from a tight angle. Shae Keeble was next on the score sheet, a free kick from distance made its way through the crowd and went straight in. The superb Lyle Ballad scored the goal of the game, bending the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box for 6-0. A lapse in concentration at the back nearly saw Berrow concede, Kaiden Keirle with a superb, brave, goal line clearance to keep Long Ashton out. Long Ashton grabbed a consolation goal, a superb shot from outside the box finding its way to the roof of the net. A ruthless display from Berrow, who find themselves top after 2 games.
Joint Player of the Match went to Ebony Birch and Lyle Ballad. Ebony an absolute rock in defence with superb composure, and Lyle who gave a relentless display out wide terrorising the opposition defence the whole time he was on.
