Berrow made it 3 wins from 3 in a closer than the score suggested game.
Portishead started brightly and deservedly took the lead, expertly lobbing the ball over the GK. Chances were exchanged between both sides, but it was Berrow who equalised before HT, Shae Keeble again deadly from set pieces scoring from no less than 35 yards out. Berrow started the 2nd half well and got a firm grip on the game, a Bobbly, untidy first half performance seemed a thing of the past as Jake Frost danced his way into the box and was upended by the Portishead defender. Theo Cooper made no mistake from the spot.
Berrow didn’t look back, the lively Frost made it 3-1 rolling the ball into the empty net after rounding the keeper. Lyle Ballad had a chance for a goal, he rounded the keeper this time but his shot from a tight angle came off the post. Henrique Aguera put the icing on the cake, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper after great centre forward play from Frost.
Player of the match went to Jake Frost, a goal and 2 assists in a centre forward display that looks like he’s played there years.
