On a narrow pitch Berrow couldn’t find their rhythm, but took the lead when George Barrett scored a rebound after a shot came back off the post. Uphill equalised moments later with a similar goal, a rebound off the post dropping to the attacker for 1-1. Berrow managed to regain the lead before HT through the in form Jake Frost, rolling his centre back and hitting it past the keeper left footed.
The second half Berrow got their third against the run of play, Jake Frost AGAIN scoring for his 11th of the season, great work out wide from George Barrett and Jake made no mistake. Uphill were undeterred, and pulled another goal back for 3-2. But Berrow once again got their 2 goal cushion, great hold up play from Frost who set Theo Copper up to nestle it into the roof of the net for 4-2.
Again, uphill came back and it was soon 4-3 for a tense final 10 mins. Berrow swapped an attacking player for an extra defender to try and see the game out, and were rewarded when a long clearance was hunted down by Lyle Ballad who sealed the 3 points which sparked great celebrations from the subs and made it 5-3 with a minute to go.
Player of the match again went to Jake Frost, 2 goals, an assist, in a successful morning for the lad who now has 11 goals in 5 games.
It’s 15 points from 15 for Berrow, who play a top of the table clash next week against Clevedon.
